Leaning completely into compassion, acceptance, and nonjudgment while failing to take a moral stand for anyone who is exploited, disenfranchised, oppressed, abused, or persecuted is not a spiritual high ground – it’s harm. Here we take a look at how action makes compassion potent.

Perhaps most important of all, fight against the isolation brought on by feelings of fear and anxiety by seeking connections with others and asking for help when you need it: you are not alone! Discussing issues and your feelings about them with friends, family, or licensed professionals can help us reckon with and potentially lessen difficult feelings.
I work with color with clients every day. The results are instantaneous and transformative, and here’s how it works. When people naturally and automatically assign a meaning to everything they experience, in order to sort danger from safety, and pleasure from pain, the meaning must then be attached in some way to that context. That’s what enables (or demands) our automatic responses in the future.
The thing is, the future was always uncertain; it is always unknowable. We just don’t usually experience it as widely, as obviously, or as acutely as we are as a civilization, as a race, right now.
Balance for me brings a picture of scales — of moderating — in truth, of more work. It’s effort to keep a balance when life is about ebbs and flows, just like the tide. Just like the seasons.
I want to encourage us all to keep our heads up.
It is not helpful to deny fearful circumstances - we cannot trick our own selves out of fear for very long.
What is helpful however, is to speak fear out loud, and acknowledge it, and comfort ourselves and others - freeing us up to problem solve together with others, not in isolation
How letting go can help you to start over. “If you let go a little, you will have a little happiness. If you let go a lot, you will have a lot of happiness. If you let go completely, you will be free. -Ajahn Chah”

What does compassion mean to you? Compassion towards others may look different than compassion towards ourself. It’s important for us to look at all the meanings of compassion. And then, figure out how we are going to apply compassion in our lives. Compassion and empathy go together and our world needs more of both.
I am beyond pleased to put into words something that is extremely personal, and that I also found difficult to articulate. I hope that you’ll join me with an intention of self compassion this new year, this new decade. Each kindness we show creates ripple effects in the electromagnetic spectrum we are all a part of…. Think {and act} with loving kindness! Let’s make this our greatest year yet.

When the days get shorter, it reminds me that out of darkness comes light. Walking in trust and living in abundance is a practice, but it’s also natural when we heal the parts of our selves that fear ghosts, and when we elevate our awareness to understand we are essentially safe, loved, and capable! This article is an invitation to consider that you are touching others’ lives in ways you might not even be aware, and to appreciate the gift that is your presence to others.

Understanding the nature of anxiousness, where it resides in the spectrum of human emotion, and its reason for being gives us the potential of finally resolving anxious feelings and releasing them. The paradox I’ve noticed is that by trying to “cure” anxiety, we lock ourselves into the experience of suffering and perpetuate anxious feelings, because anxiety isn’t a malfunction needing to be “cured”, it’s an important messenger bearing information for our benefit. Furthermore, incorrectly subscribing to the belief that anxiety is without purpose and not able to be resolved/released, but at best merely coped with or managed, prevents us from listening to the unconscious issues creating anxious feelings - a task which, ironically, is not only the healing antidote for anxiety, but also the reason for its existence in our lives in the first place.
