Episode 24: The 3 Trestles of Lasting Change

Synopsis

Today's episode is among other things, another soap box for how free you really should be feeling when it comes to making decisions about how to resolve lifelong emotional issues permanently. Mandy also shares what Harm Reduction looks like in action when it comes to considering creating new constructs (for instance, frameworks), and how to stay in your power when interacting with anyone's modalities, tools, or methods - proprietary or otherwise. Mandy also shares the high points (the components of and pillars of) her own proprietary framework, lovingly called Power Play.

Show Notes

People often ask me, what is working together like?

And I'm being completely literal when I say this hah!-

Almost everyone I ever speak to about my profession is curious to know - what is it like to work in trance with someone.  But certainly those who are seeking support often ask.  And I understand the questions.

There's a lot of work I've done over the years to improve copy, and clarify my message, so I can really be a source of empowering, healing information,

But these days instead of leaning into how I believe it’s different to work with me, I rather like to show them how it’s the same.

Not the same as what they’ll find elsewhere. That's not what I mean.

But how it's exactly the same as the way any positive change ever happens that sticks.

I was a student of many, many, (many) teachers and guides in healing modalities over more than a decade before I figured this out for myself.

It was when I began to codify and systematize the nuanced into the plain, the esoteric into the repeatable and explainable, it became very clear:

There are 3 Trestles of all lasting (self-perpetuating) change:

- Discovery & Awareness

- Clear & Reset

- Actualization, Application & Feedback

You know those cross beams that hold up railroad tracks over water?  They’re called trestles.  And that's why I named these such within my own framework Power Play.  They stack on top of each other to support something massive.  Their design, their geometry makes them nearly indestructible!  Exactly like these trestles.  They’re not STEPS.  But they do build on each other.  And every change you’ve ever made, spontaneously or with assistance from another has included each of these.

There’s a way I support people that is really special in each of the 3 Trestles, and I can share all of that with you gladly:  it’s what makes the results through my practice stand out.

But for today I thought you might really appreciate us unpacking the second trestle:

Clear & Reset.

This is where the actual change piece happens!  And it’s why I use the modalities I’ve spoken of so frequently.

Unconscious problems are governed by, stored in, and perpetuated by the unconscious.

To clear and reset them, you need access to the problem itself.  Non-ordinary states of consciousness (nosc) allow you to get that access you need.  Within that state I show people how to steer and guide in a structured way to create reliable shifts and changes to core emotional issues (including beliefs).

Actually WORKING in these states means shifts happen instantaneously.

And what makes the results of working in non-ordinary states of consciousness (nosc) so durable and profound, is that we don’t mirror or mimic the natural way that change happens in your body - it IS the very same way.  One in the same.

Then when people wonder whether it can, or will "work for them", I get to share that it already is working for them.

The way we use NOSC to shift issues permanently, IS the very mechanism of the problem that's been automated as well:

Though there are other techniques that are needed to support individual transformation and healing than imagery work alone, it never ceases to fascinate and amuse me that we use the mechanism of the problem to resolve the issue for good.

I like talking about Clear and Reset, because it’s where the heart of the shift occurs.

Is there a catch?  Put another way, are there limitations to this approach?

Regarding depth and completeness of change crossed with speed, tonight I wanted to circle back & share two considerations to be aware of as you create expectations for yourself:

1/  Simply put, often times issues have layers.  Then shifts happen in stages.

2/  Sometimes even change that we want can be protected by our unconscious.  I had a mentor once call it subconscious override.  I think of it like “guarding”.  Such as when we want another person to help us tend to a physical injury, but things may still feel too painful to expose at first.

Can you see what is required in both situations above?

Patience and self kindness is necessary.

There is a natural way of things.

There is a natural order and timing of things.

Flowers have to bloom, they cannot be pried open.

Holding the paradox:

Expecting, trusting and KNOWING that complete, permanent healing is possible sooner not someday, while expecting trusting and knowing that you do not get to control how it blossoms for you.

Until our paths cross next, I hope you are kind to yourself.
